LoanYield IQ — Privacy Policy

The short version

LoanYield IQ collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party tracking or crash-reporting SDKs. Every calculation runs on your device and nothing you enter leaves it unless you explicitly share it.

Your data stays with you

Property deals, loans, prepayment plans and settings are stored on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's SwiftData framework. They are never sent to any server operated by me or by a third party, and I cannot access them.

iCloud sync (optional, on by default)

If iCloud sync is on (Settings → Your data), the same data is also stored in the private database of your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, so it syncs to your other devices and survives reinstalling the app. That data is encrypted, tied to your Apple ID, and readable only by you — not by me, and not by other users. Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy apply to that storage. Turning sync off keeps everything on the device only.

Backups you export

Settings → Backup can write all your deals and loans to a JSON file. Where that file goes — Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, email — is entirely your choice; the app never uploads it itself.

Sharing

When you tap Share, the app renders an image of the verdict on your device and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there — WhatsApp, Messages, Photos — is entirely your choice. The app never sends it anywhere itself.

Camera and document scanning

The cost-sheet scanner uses Apple's VisionKit to recognise text on-device. Camera frames are processed locally and are never stored or transmitted. You can deny camera access and the feature simply offers a paste box instead.

AI memo

By default the underwriting memo is generated on-device with Apple Intelligence, or by the app's own rules engine when that isn't available. Nothing is sent to any server.

Optional API keys

If you choose to add your own API key for a cloud provider (Anthropic, Google or OpenAI) under Settings, that key is stored in your device's Keychain — not in the app's database. It is used only to send the memo request directly from your device to the provider you chose, and only when you tap Generate. LoanYield IQ never sees, stores or transmits the key or the request anywhere else. That provider's own privacy policy applies to what you send it.

Siri

The prepayment shortcut runs entirely on-device through Apple's App Intents. Your loan details are not sent to Apple by the app.

Children's privacy

LoanYield IQ does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date above.
