The story
Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared in Mayapur, Bengal, in 1486, on the full moon of Phalguna at dusk, during a lunar eclipse. He taught devotion to Krishna through singing the holy names together, and Gaudiya Vaishnavas revere him as Krishna himself.
